DROWNED IN BATH
BUFFALO MAN’S FATE. HAD ESCAPED NIAGARA. NEW YORK, April 3. After escaping death in the swirling currents of the Niagara River rapids when his rowing boat had been upset by tin icefloe, John Olst was drowned in his own bathtub a week later at Buffalo. A defective gas-heater caused him to be partly asphyxiated, and he slipped under the water.
