PRESENCE OF MIND

TWO REMARKABLE CASES. SAVED FROM SUFFOCATION. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegrr^h—Copyright.) LONDON, April 10. Two remarkable cases of tracheotomy are reported almost simultaneously from the Continent. - Hansen, an artisan of Copenhagen, who was choking with a piece of civist in the throat, had the presence of mind to make a pocket knife incision in his throat, which enabled him to breathe until a surgeon removed the obstacle. The other case came from Budapest. Professors Balint and Pollachek, the latter a noted throat specialist, were conversing, when Professor Balint took a tit, under which he was suffocating. Professor Pollacheck made an incision in his throat with a penknife and saved his life.—Australian Press Association.
