WASHINGTON, February 14, _ The Senate’s Commerce Committee decided not to interfere with the proposed sale of the United States lines and the American Merchant Line ships. The Shipping Board is now free to proceed with the sale,—Australian Press Association. A previous message stated :—The Shipping Board has accepted the 16,000.000dol bid for the merchant marine. The action, however, is' not final, as it will doubtless be reviewed by the Senate’s Commerce Committee.
