MASTER PLUMBERS.

SOCIAL EVENING.

The annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Master Plumbers, which has been held during the week, was brought to a successful conclusion last night, when a social evening was held’ in the Somerset Lounge. The Deputy Mayor (Or J. S. Douglas) extended a welcome to the visiting delegates, Messrs R. G. Spiers, jun. (Invercargill), D. Menzies (Timaru), W. C. Large (Christchurch), S. V. Menzies (Auckland), E. G. Dorie (Hawke’s Bay), F. H. Jansen (Wellington) replying. Mr W. A. Jenkins (Dunedin), in handing over the chain of office to the new president, Mr C. W. Osborne (Christchurch), wished him a successful and happy term of office. A long toast list was honoured, and during the evening musical items were rendered by the following:—Messrs G. Burk, G, E.
