A Tamworth message states that the cloudburst at Durie submerged the country several feet, levelling fences and scouring the railway line, many rails being suspended in raid-air. Wheat stacks were severely damaged, the two bottom layers being under water. The trains are still held up.

Advice has been, received that floods arc occurring in ' Gippsland, Victoria.

TWO HAWKERS DROWNED. CROSSING A SWOLLEN CREEK. SYDNEY, February 15. (Received Feb. 15, at 10 p.m.) • Two Syrian hawkers, who were crossing a swollen creek near Port Macquarie, on the north coast, were drowned to-day, their motor lorry being washed away. The body of one of the flood victims earlier in the week, John Coulton, was recovered from snags to-day.

BAIN IN SYDNEY. TENTH SUCCESSIVE DAY. SYDNEY, February 13. (Received Feb. 15, at 10 p.m.) Yesterday, was Sydney’s tenth successive wet day, when nearly two inches fell, the total being ten inches since February 4.
