PUBLICITY FOR NEW ZEALAND
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON. March 2. Mr H. T. B. D row (New Zealand publicity officer) recently delivered a lecture, illustrated with lantern slides and film, at the St. George’s Hall. London, the I headquarters of the Y.M.C.A. The atI tendance was between 500 and GOO, among those present being a number of young I New Zealanders who are students in London. The publicity officer has Leon trying a new experiment for domestic servant advertising in England. It is a common thing in Now Zealand for lantern slide advertising to be used at kineina theatres. ! hut this is not the case in Great Britain. | New Zealand film is now shown every day in from GO to 40 theatres in various parts [of the United Kingdom. in the circular 1 to the theatres supplied with such film ' a suggestion was embodied that they perhaps would include a slide advertisement indicating the opportunities of employment in New Zealand for domestic servants. As a result 38 theatres are now showing these slides. No charge is made.
