RUN OVER BY MOTOR CAR. (Feb United Press Association.) WHANGAREI, April 20. William Howie, aged nine years, was run over by a motor laot evening, and suffered a double compound fracture of the left leg, besides being badly bruised about the head and face. '1 be oy was removed to the hospital. > HANDS INJURED IN MACHINERY. (Per United Press Association I WHAN GARE I, April 20. When using an iron curbing machine in hia father’s tinsmithing workshop, Ralph Fulljnmes, aged 15, got one hand in the machinery, and in an endeavonr to extricate himself the other hand got imprisoned. He was released by a lellowworkor and taken to hospital, where both wrists were put in splints. « BABY’S BODY FOUND. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 20. The dead body of a baby wrapped in brown paper was found in a luggage rack after the arrival of the first express this morning. KILLED BY FALL FROM CYCLE. (Per United Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 20. Margaret O’Connor, aged 16, who was injured by a fall on Wednesday while pillion-riding on a motor cycle, died this evening without regaining consciousness. She was riding behind Trevor Moss, when the motor cycle ran into a heap of dirt on the road and capsized. Miss O’Connor suffered severe head injuries.
