A HUGE WAVE

———- the leviathan damaged. TONS OF WATER SHIPPED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, April 9. The Leviathan has arrived battered and damaged by a huge wave which struck her in mid-ocean. It smashed the searchlight on the forward deck, 85ft above the water. It also smashed the lifeboats, and bent the ventilators and the iron top of the companion way. Tons of water entered the forward part of the vessel, necessitating the removal of some of the third-class passengers.—Australian Press Association.
