BENEFICIAL FALL IN MANAVVATU. (Fsb United Press Association) PALMERSTON N., April 9. After a long, dry spell very welcome rain fell throughout the district yesterday, doing an immense amount of good. One inch and eight points fell in town. Prior to this only 2.79 in had fallen since the beginning of the year. HEAVY DRIZZLE IN WELLINGTON. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 9. The weather is most unfavourable for tb e holiday. Drizzling rain set in on Saturday afternoon, and has continued ever since without any sign of lifting.
