IN MEMORIAM. WHELAN.—In sad and loving memory o t our dear son and brother, Gunner Alfred Whelan (43846), 27th Reinforcements, N.Z.F.A., who died of wounds while In action in France, April 10, 1918: aged 21 years. Too sadly missed to be forgotten. He died that we may live in peace. He fought for freedom, not for tame. Vet on New Zealand’s roll of honour Stands inscribed our hero's name. —lnserted by his loving parents and brothers.
