EXPERIMENTAL PLOTS., At a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union to bo held on Friday next arrangements will be made for experimental plots for experiments to be carried out in North Otago under the supervision of the Fields Division of the Agricultural Department. BOY SCOUT CAMP. The various troops of the Oaraarn Boy Scouts are at present in camp at the old mill site in the neighbourhood of the town. The boys are having a good time, discipline being combined with amusement and physical culture. GIG ACCIDENT. A gig accident occurred at the north end of Thames street, Oamaru, on Thursday. A horse attached to a gig stumbled and fell. Tire two male occupants of the vehicle were thrown out, one receiving severe injuries to the face, and the 'her being dragged for a distance and badly shaken and bruised. The horse bolted, but (he gig collided with one of the street trees and was considerably damaged. GOOD FRIDAY. Yesterday was dull in the morning in Oamaru and a cold wind was blowing in me afternoon. The conditions improved, and many townspeople went into the country. A considerable number of residents have left for Christchurch. Dunedin, and other centres for the Easter holidays.
