GREAT DAMAGE AT CAIRNS. BUILDINGS SUFFER SEVERELY. {J?rea« A KEoeiat:ou —By Telegraph—Copyright) BRISBANE, February 11. The estimated damage at Cairns caused by the cyclone amounts to £250,000. About a quarter of the buildings in the city were affected, and also in the country within a radius of six miles. It is estimated that between 40 and 50 per cent, of the buildings damaged were in the city. The Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Monica was demolished. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
