A youth named Frank Lockbardt Crawford, a cadet employed in the Tourist Department, was charged with the theft of £62 14s lid, the property of the Government, and was remanded for eight days. WELLINGTON, February 11. The Gazette notifies that a New Zealand Army Legal Department has been established as a unit of the military forces, and that the department shall consist of stfch a number of officers as the Minister of Defence from time to time may authorise. ' GREYMOUTE, February 11. The Power Board's linesmen’s dispute has been settled. Tomkies has been reinstated, and all the men resumed work to-day.
