OTAGO TO BE PENALISED. FAILURE TO PAY DUES. (Peb United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, February 11. The council, of the New Zealand Swimming Association decided that the Otago Centre should be informed that the council could not allot the New Zealand championshins to a centre that had not furnished its returns and paid its dues, and that unless the ■ tago Centre complied with the rules in this respect before the nest meeting of the council the championship meeting would not be allotted to Jbe Otago Centre. “FEES HAVE BEEN PAID.” ASSERTION BY OTAGO OFFICIALS. The secretary of the Otago Centre (Mr B. Haig) and the president (Mr J. MTndoe) both assert that the fees have been paid. It will be remembered that the same question was raised by the council a few months ago, and on that occasion the secretary satisfied the Otago Centre that the fees had been paid, and word .to that effect was sent to the council.
