A large gathering of parents and friends assembled, and Messrs Burgess and Jones (committeemen) presided. Every child in the school received a prize while special prizes were awarded as follows: Dux of School: George H. Jones. Navy League Prizes —Standard VI: George Jones; Standard V: Reg. Pilbrow and Robert Dalgleish (equal). Sewing.—Standard V : Margaret Burgess. Furs valued at more than £3,500,000 ■were exported from Canada during the year which ended last April.
