A. and N.Z. Cable. RUGBY FOOTBALL. REFEREE WARNED OFF. (Peb United Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, July 16. At a meeting of the Ashburton Rugby Sub-union A. Shannon, a referee, was warned off all Ashburton Rugby grounds till the end of next season for joining with the crowd in hooting the referee during a match at Rakaia. Six of the Rakaia senior team were disqualified for one week for leaving the field.
