ANCIENT ARMOUR

KNIGHT OF AGINCOURT. LONDON, May 26. The Metropolitan Mueum of Art, New York, has obtained a suit of armour which D; Bashfoid Dean, Armoury Curator since 1903, claims is the sole, reasouably-oomplete equipment of a knight of the Agincourt period (15th century) in any European or ■ American collection, says the New York correspondent of The Times. During a trip to the Orient in 1891 Dr Dean noticed the armour in an old arsenal on an island in the Eastern Mediterranean, but it required 34 years of troublesome bargaining to obtain it. He refuses to disclose the name of the island, being hopeful oi making further discoveries.
