IMPOSITION OP TAX Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright LONDON, June 11. (Received June 12, at 5.5 p.m.) In the House of Commons the Government moved a motion imposing a 33 1-3 per cent, ad valorem tax on imported lace. The Opposition tabled a string of amendments, all of which -were defeated. The motion was carried.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
