In the Police Court, Jack Anthony Murphy, aged 24, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment for converting to his own use at Gisborne a motor car, -valued as £l3O, the property of George Crawshaw. The car was taken by accused and two other men on October 25. and driven to Te Aroha, where it was abandoned after being damaged to the extent of £6O. Laburnum left yesterday on a northern -cruise, and will return on February 10, when she will begin a cruise, including New Plymouth and other west coast ports. The Veronica, will remain here till February 6, when she will start a cruise of east coast ports of both islands. lIM S.
