BRITAIN AND EGYPT
PLOTS AND INTRIGUES.
NATIONALIST AGITATIONS,
Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 8. The Daily Mail’s Cairo correspondent says: “The plotters find difficulty in selecting assassins for London. They are hardly likely to escape arrest; therefore they must not be deeply initiated into the Nationalist conspiracy for fear of betraying important secrets. There is a Nihilist clique attached to tire Nationalist Party here. The members of this clique hold secret meetings in the houses of their wealthy Egyptian supporters to excite themselves into political hysteria, and also to indulge in smuggled cocoaine. ‘Hurrah for death!’ is a common ejaculation at these orgies, In which violent criminals, besides students, participate. “All the Egyptian Ministers have received a circular purporting to be signed by the army officers who were expelled from the Sudan, declaring that they intend to lead a military rising and massacre all the British in. Egypt. The circular is regarded as a Nationalist forgery. ■ “King Fuad having rejected - the demand of the Nationalist deputies to reassemble Parliament immediately, these members are sending another petition repeating the demand in violent terms and denouncing Ziwar as a British puppet.” —Sydney Sun Cable.
