Had the runaway tram left the rails 10 yards before it did, it must nave collided with the high topaion power house which supplies the whole of the northern suburbs. A tremendous voltage would have been released, which undoubtedly would have multiplied the death roll alarmingly. THE INJURED IMPROVING. SYDNEfY, August 22. (Received August 22, at 8.50 p.m.) Seven of the victims of tho tram accident remain in hospital. All aro improving. Altogether 50 injured persons received treatment.
