Called as a witness in the Birmingham Police Court, Father Hudson, the manager of a Roman Catholic home for children, declined to give evidence, contending that the confidences which he received in his ministerial capacity should be treated‘as secret. Father Hudson' resolutely refused to answer questions, and the case proceeded without his evidence.— A. and N.Z. Cable.
