DOMINION REPRESENTATION. QUESTION OF FINANCE. (Peb United Press -Association.! WELLINGTON, October 11. Only six representatives attended the meeting of the New Zealand Olympic Council to-night, which was called for the purpose of discussing the question of finance to send the dominion athletes to the Olympic and British Empire Games. The secretary is to write to sports bodies, asking them to send live men to the next meeting. Mr A. G. Henderson suggested that unless there was a better response the council should be wound up. Mr A. T. Davies, chairman, urged that it was not much credit to the dominion if they could not raise funds to send athletes to such gatherings. It was decided to promote the formation of Olympic Committees in all the principal centres, asking each to guarantee a sum to the funds, and to appoint a Citizens’ Committee.
