(Received May 13, at 6.5 p.m.) • There lias lately been an epidemic of suicides in Russia. In Moscow alone in oha day (April 20) there were b 4 suicides registered, in Petrograd 28, in Odessa 'A'9, and in Kharkov nine. Most of the cases were due to starvation. The number has increased during the new ecoacmic polity, as the starving see mad luxury on the part of the commissaries and the newly rich. Some idealists in the Communist Party have also committed suicide, _ being Unable to stand the moral and spiritual degradation of their party.—A. and N.Z. Cable. '
