DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The week opened quietly on the Stock Exchange, but was brighter during the last two or three days, and the investment market did good business. P. and O. deferred stock has been fairly active. There was a sale on Tuesday at £3SS, and more followed! the next day at the same price. Yesterday the stock finned slightly, and there were transactions at £360, £362, and £363, the, final quotations being £363 and £365. Huddart,, Parker shares have been quiet, and if anything show an easing tendency. They are now quoted about 41 s 3d to 425. Interest in insurance’ shares seems to have slackened off, and the prices of these lines are also easier in some cases. National Insurances were secured for 60s on Wednesday, and were sought yesterday at S9s 3d, With a seller at 60s 6d. There was also a sale yesterday of New Zealand Insurance shares' at 29s Sd, but Standards and South British shares have been quiet, and are slightly easier in price. No business is shown in bank stocks. National Banks have been sought in the vicinity of £5 10s, with sellers about £5 13s, and Bank of New South Wales, stock has been in firm demand without attracting holders. Union Banks show no change in value, but Australasia buyer® have firmed to £9O. Woollen manufacturing shares have been in the usual /demand at firm prices, and sales have been' reported of Mosgiel shares (£5 12s) and Bruce Woollens (40s). Kaiapoi Woollens have had regular inquiry at 23s Gd, but sellers have not been operating. Milburu Limes, have changed owners • on several occasions at 80s 3d, and] in the industrial lino the New Zealand lie frigerating (cont.) shares have also had a good volume of business at 17s 9d. The larger issue has been quoted about 'B2a. Businesa * baa been added to by a sale of Brown, Ewing ordinary shares at 245. A few other sound investment lines have hod buyers daily at current prices, but sellers havo been scarce. Debentures have been freely quoted at unchanged values, but nothing has been reported.
