SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING THE RAISING OF SPECLVL LOANS. Pursuant to the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,’’ Public Notice Is Hereby Given that at a Special Meeting of the Borough of West Harbour called for the purpose, and held at the Council Chambers, Rothesay, on Tuesday, September 6, 1921, the following Resolutions authorising the raising of Special Loans oi £9450 and £4680 were • duly passed. Iho Resolutions are as follows: (L) 1. Resolved by the West Harbour Borough Council, ao that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order under Section 16 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” that the said Council do raise a Special Loan of Nine Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds (£9450) for the purpose of paying off the following Special Loans raised by the said Council —viz.: “A loan of £9450 raised in 1901 under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and £4OO raised in 1902 under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1901,” for the purpose of street construction throughout the whole Borougn.” 2. That the security for the interest and sinking fund and repayment of the said Special Loan of Nine Thousand Four | Hundred and Fifty Pounds'(£94so) bo a special rate of threepence in the pound j (£1) on the unimproved rateable value • of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll for the time being in force in the Borough of West Harbour, in addition to the liability of the Corporation of the Borough of West Harbour and its assets generally for the purpose of debentures and coupons issued in respect to such loan. 2. That the currency of the said Special Loan be for Ten (10) Years, from, the 2nd day of JANUARY, 1922. 4. That a sinking fund of one pound (£1) per centum per annum be established in connection with the said Special Loan, and that the araouvt of such sinking fund be paid to tne Sinking Fund Commissioner to be appointed for that purpose on the 2nd day of January of each and every year during the currency of such loon, being a period of ten (10) years from the 2nd day of JANUARY, 1922, or until Uie loan is fully paid off. oi which sinking fund the first payment shall be made cn the 2nd day of JANUARY, 1923. 6. That the said Special Loan of Nine Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds (£9450) be raised by the issue of debentures under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” and that such debentures be for the sum of one hundred •pounds (£100) each, and boar interest at the rate of five and one-half per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the 2nd day of July and the 2nd day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, or until such loan is fully paid off, and that coupons bo annexed to such debentures accord ingly; and the said debentures and coupons be payable at the National Bank of Now Zealand at Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, or Dunedin free of exchange to the holder. 6. That the corporate seal be affixed to all such debentures, and that all such debentures and coupons be signed by the Mayor and .countersigned by the Borough Treasurer, but so that their respective signatures to the coupons may be lithographed on the coupons. (2.) 1. Resolved by the West Harbour Borough Council, so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate oa a Special Order under Section 16 of ‘The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” that the said Council do raise a Special Loan of Four Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty Pounds (£4680) for the purpose of paying off the following Special Loans raised by the said Council—viz.: “A loan of £3680 raised in 1907 under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1901,” and £IOOO raised in 1908 under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1801,” for the purpose of street construction and street Lighting within the Ravensbourne anti Rothesay Wards of the said Borough.” 2. That the security for the interest and sinking fund and repayment of the said Loan of four thousand six hundred and eighty pounds (£4680) bo a special rate of threepence in the pound (£1) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation roll for the time being .in force for the Ravensbourne and Rothesay Wards in the Borough of West Harbour, in addition to the liability of the Corporation of the Borough of Wear Harbour and its assets generally for the purpose of debentures and coupons issued in respect to such loan. That the currency of the said Special Loan bo for Ten Years, from the 2nd day of JANUARY, 1922. That a sinking fund of one pound (£1) per centum per annum bo established m connection with the said Special Loan, and that the amount of such sinking fund bo paid to the Sinking Fund Commissioner to bt appointed for that purpose on the 2nd day of January of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, from the 2nd day ol JANUARY, 1922, or until the loan is fully paid off, of which sinking fund the first payment shall bo made on the 2nd day of JANUARY, 1923. * 5. That the said Special Loan of four thousand six hundred and eighty pounds (£4680) be raised by the issue of debentures under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” and that such debentures be for the sum of one hundred pounds (£100) each, and boar interest at die rate of five and one-half per centum per annum, payable half-yearly on the 2nd day of July and the 2nd day of Janu ary in each and every year during the currency of the loan, or until such loan is fully paid off; and that coupons be annexed to such debentures accordingly, and the said debentures and coupons, be payable at the National Bank of New Zealand at Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, or Dunedin free of exchange to the holder. 6.
