California being nominally dry, the Californian Prohibition Director examined Arbuckle with a view to finding out where tho liquor which was allegedly consumed at the party which ended in Miss Rappe’s death was obtained.- He spent an hour in futile questioning. The only reply Arbuckle made was that he did not have any liquor.—Reuter. The San Francisco grand jury indicted Arbuckle on a charge of manslaughter.— A. and N.Z. Cable. ARBUCKLE FILMS.
