CHILDREN'S CONCERT

it concert under the auspices of the Dunedin Presbyterian Sunday Schools’ Union was held last night in Burns Hall, and passed off most successfully. It was essentially an evening for the kiddies and their parents, and was evidently enjoyed by all, if numerous encores be any criterion. The items wore various, including even a Highland fling (very gracefully danced by Miss and Master T. Munro), and all who too* part acquitted themselves very creditably. Notwithstanding the fairly lengthy programme and the inevitable recalls, the entertainment, as was fitting, concluded well before halt-past 9 o’clock. The arrange meats were admirably carried out by Mr D. Kayo (president) and Mr A. M. Ross (vicepresident), of the Sunday School-'.'Union. The following was the programme: —Poppy song, girls of First Church; recitation. Master Jack Stevens (South Dunedin); song, Miss Milly Batchelor (North-East Valley); Highland fling. Miss Munro and Master T. Munro (Kaikorni); duet, Miss L. Stevens and Master J. Stevens (South Dun-

edin) ; song. Grant’s Braes girls (Anderson's Bay); duet, Miss Thelma and Master J. Potts (North-East Valley); recitation, Miss Hunter (Kaikorai); song, “Sunbird,” girls (South Dunedin); song, Miss May Mantell (First Church); chorus. Grant’s Braes f iris, (Anderson’s Bay); physical exercises, 'hysical Culture Club (South Dunedin),; recitation, Mies Victoria Haig (Caversham); duet.
