RIVAL TEAMS IN TRAINING. \ (From Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, September 13. The South Atncan footballers are in training at Island Ray. Several are suffering from injuries. Sendin has a dislocated shoulder, and Henry Merkel, the wing threequarter, has injured the bones of his elbow. Wepener has an injured leg, and may be unable to play. Those who are not likely to be in the team are in town staying at the Grand Hotel. Only nine out of the 14 African backs having gone into training for the match, the team's back division will not bo seen at its best. The New Zealanders arc beijig trained as if they were getting ready for a world boxing, or a 'world sculling, contest, and they,will take the field ns fit as it is possible ior them to be. The New Zealand forwards fire expected to more than hold their own in the coming match. Nevertheless the general opinion is that tho chances of success are about even. The great demand for seating accommodation at the test match on Saturday indicates that interest in the event is likely to exceed all previous experiences.
