SOCKBURN TO WELLINGTON FLIGHT. (Feom Oun Own Coebespondent.) WELLINGTON, September 13. The Canterbury Aviation Company’s 1,0 Rhone-Avro which flew to Wellington yesterday across the Straits experienced benuiful weather. At, one stage of the journey Captain Gray flew-out to sea to avoid the glare of the sun in his eyes, and skirted the coast at an altitude of 3007 ft. The first landing was made at Cullen’s station, “The Elms,” where the aviators had an al fresco breakfast. Another landing was made at Blenheim, at Tory Channel. The plane was 9700 ft np, so that in case of a breakdown the plane could glide to Wellington. The machine behaved well, and the average flying time was 90 miles an hour.
