DAFFODIL CLUB

The weekly meeting, held on Saturday evenng, was attended by 18 members, including he usual quota of Port Chalmers and lawyers' Bay enthusiasts. The extremely avournble weather of the past few days iad opened quite a number of seedling looms, many of which were maiden flowers, nd some of which compared more than avourably with standard varieties in evicnce at the meeting. Trumpet, Leedsii, nd Incomparabilis seedlings were all criticlly examined by those present, one of the members giving a lead by his apt references nd comparisons. In the opinion of the v-eting a seedling bloom raised by Mr W. I'Carthy, and just opening out. into a splenid flower, was considered the most striking loom in the room.
