BAVARIAN DEMONSTRATIONS. GOVERNMENT OFFICES STORMED. Freaa Asaooiation—By Telegraph— Copjrighi PARIS, September 9. Advices from Mayence state that there ■was serious rioting at Spires, Bavaria, on the occasion of a. ■workmen's demonstration in connection with the murder of Herr Erzberger. The Government offices were partly demolished. Numerous arrests were made. The workmen struck to obtain the release of those who were imprisoned, and stormed the Government offices. The police fired their rifles, a workman being killed and many wounded. —Reuter.

NEW YORK, September 10. (Received Sept. 11, at 11.5 p.m.) The San Antonio cloudburst was part of the national thunderstorm disturbances which extended from the Canadian North-' west to the Gulf of Mexico, and were marked by tornadoes in South Dakota and Nebraska. Heavy rainfalls occurred over the entire Mississippi Valley, the rain in the North-western States turning to snow and Montana reporting a freezing temperature.—A. and N.Z. Cable.

DEATHS IN PENNSYLVANIA.

NEW YORK, September 10. (Received Sept. 11, at 11.5 p.m.) According to a message from Chester, Pennsylvania, 20 men, women, and children are known to have been drowned and at least 20 more are believed to be at the bottom of the tributary of the Delaware River, as the result of an old wooden BPldge collapsing. A little boy had fallen into the water, and crowds congregated on the bridge to watch his rescue, with the result that the structure became overloaded. Besides the above casualties 40 persons were injured.—A. and N. Z. Cable.
