COURSING
A mooting of the (National Coursing, Association of New Zealand was hold .last evening, and was attended by Messrs B. S. Irwin (chairman), H, Andrews, G. Ronald, W. Millier, and W. Everest. ' ' Mr Everest took exception, to the oontj firrrmtion of the minutes of the-last meeting ', of the, council. It was resolved, on the motion of the chairman: "That it having been, shown that tho last meeting t of the council was informal, as only four delegates" were present, it was decided not to confirm I ! the Tjho Chairman pointed out ,' that at the informal''meeting tho Selwyn ' Coursing Clulb was allotted! tho control of the Australasian Waterloo Cup for 1921.; The secretary was instructed to write to the Selwyn Club explaining the position, and asking that its delegate attend tho next meet- \ ing.
Tho Now Plymouth Club wag. formally granted control of this year's Cup fixture. The programme was submitted, and tho nominations of' Messrs J. Jenkinson, of New Plyjiouth, as judge, and J. Maoonnel, of Wellington, as slipper, were agreed to. Tho conditions provide for-64 dogs and bitches at £3 3s, with a guaranteo of £100 to tho winner. The fixture is 6et down for July 29, 30, .said 31. Mr Lcn Towler, of .Sydney, secretary of ' tho _ Australasian Coursing Union, wrote stating that the National 'Coursing Association of Victoria yas anxious that a conference of representatives of the'ruling bodies of 'oursing should be held, for the pu- )ose of discussing the alteration- of rutes and any matters in connection with the promotion of tho jporL The secretary Was instructed to roply that it is the opinion of this council that the Australasian Coumrur Union should 'inform tho National Coursintr Association of Viotoria that if that body affiliates, the question of alteration of rules can then bo considered.-
Tho annual meeting of the association was est -down for April i 10.
