There is something novel aixlr attractive about a play that represents an innovation in dramatic productions—possibly this is why "The Man Who Came Back" has hit theatre-goers so hard. It is, so to speak, a "dramatic revue," for it presents various phases of life in vividly dramatic form. First we see the home of Thomas Potter, in New York, and are introduced to the undercurrents of domestic, life in the home of a millionaire; next is given a. glimpse of night life in Kan Francisco, with the whirling gaiety of the cabaret. The next scene in the story is located in an opaim den in Shanghai. China—-an eerie scone, full of thrill and suspense: following this comes a brighter phase of life in the East, a time, of romance and charm. "Tlio Man Who Came Back" takes its audience on a regular Cook's excursion, and shows many phase* of life that appeal vividly to the imagination. Miss Starr will bo supported by Mr Frank Harvey and specially selected company, including Messrs Arthur Styau, Harry Power, .T. B.
