WELLINGTON WAR RELIEF FUND.
LIEUTENANT CROUCH'S LEGACY. FIRST PAYMENT RECEIVED. (Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 1. Mr Tripp, chairman of the Wellington War Relief Association, has received from Mr A. V. Hewitt, executor of the will of the late Lieutenant Foster Brooke Crouch tho sum of £100, being pajrment on account of a legacy left to tho Wellington War Relief Association by the late Lieutenant Crouch. The balance of the legacy (approximately £1000) will also be paid to the association as soon as certain securities in England have been realised. The lato Lieutenant Crouch was attached to tho Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, and was killed in act-ion in Franc© on March 23 1918. He was, prior to enlisting in England, in the employ of the New Zealand Government Railway Department.
