REENUE FOR PAST QUARTER. (Peii United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, May 1. The total postal and telegraph revenue for the" quarter ended March 31, 1919 was £173,123 compared with £506,363 for the first quarter of 1918.
The Savings Bank deposits during- the quarter ended March 31, 1919, amounted to £5,865,478; withdrawals, £4,(329.473; and tho excess of deposits over withdrawals £1,036,005. The figures for the first quarter last year were: Deposits, £4,434,730; withdrawals, £3.349.322; and the excess of deposits, £1,084,403.
