CONTROL OF CORNSACK MARKET

CHRISTCBTTRCH, December 20. It has been decided to abandon the Government scheme for the purchase, control, and price fixing of cornsaclcs during the 1919-20 season. This decision was come to by the Board of Trade, following a conference with the Canterbury and southern comnuttecs. The chairman of the" board, L n this announcement, states that it has been found that the conditions on the Calcutta market, owing to the approaching' are now too uncertain for anything to bo done for next season. This decision, however, did not affect the price-fixirijr for the present season.
