Mr R. D. Poison applied for a grazing license over an area in block 111, Tarra's district. —Held over for valuation and to obtain ranger's report, with a view to offering for sale bv publ ; o auction. GENERAL. Messrs Donald Reid and Co., on behalf of Mr J. Dunery, applied for a remission of fine on pastoral runs 1442 and 1285. Refused. Mr Millar, of Tokoiti. offered a price per ton for green flax on sections 23, 24, block I, Akatore. —Granted on payment of £12 10s. Mr R. C. Turnbull, lessee of run 1750, applied for a renewal of the lease for ono year as he was not yet discharged from active service.—Held over till February meeting. Sarah Baker, lessee of sections 68 and 74 block lIT, and section 28, block V, Cromwell, S.D., applied to have a closed road which runs through her orchard—area la 2r 13p—included in tho lease.—Approved. Mr R. I-lannan was granted a seven years' lease at 20s per aero for tho ri"-ht to prospect for r-ffing slate at the head of tho south brancsa of tho Island Stream,

Ofcepopo district An application from Mr J. A. 6Hgo in respect to a license over section 5, block XV, Otepopo district, and part section 7, blook VI, Kauroo district, at 20s per annum was similarly dealt with.

RESIDENT! AL CONDITION'S. Mr William Raines applied for exemption from residence on section 23, block I, Mid-Wakatipu district, held by him under o.r.p licence.—Granted, during the pleasure of the board.

Mi- J. T. Williams forfeited his claim to section 167, block 11, Loaning Rock, having failed to fulfil residential qualifications. _ The residential and improvement conditions having been complied with in regard to section 58, block IV, Green vale district, the forfeiture imposed on Mr William Barron was rescinded.

Havinir failed to fulfil tho improvement' and cropping conditions in regard to seotion 68, block 11, Maerewhenim, Mrs- J. P. Bradley was declared to have forfeited her claim to the section.

The completion of survey of land in block IX, Leaning Rock district, provisionally granted on thr- occupation lease system to Mr Daniel Mathias, and of block IX, Loaning Rock, to Mr John Marloy, were finally approved.

Mr Thomas M*MuUan was granted six months in which to effect tho re-nired improvements to sections 55a and 56a, Conical Hills Settlement.
