MEMORIAL SERVICE

At the Mosffiel Methodist Church on Sunday, a memorial service was .held in connection with the death at the front of Private W. J. Maulseod, a Taieri resident of the past few years. The church was specially drajpeel for the occasion, the Union Jack, witi) a wreath of white flowers, being plaoed around the pulpit. There was a large congregation. The choir rendered imisio suitable to the occasion, and the Rev. O. Burnet preached from the text: " I have fo-!ght a good fig-ht" Hie referred to the life of deceased, who hod been a willing and conscientious worker, and had -filled some important offices in the church.
