Tho Germans on March 21 fired almost three times as many shells in .three hours as they used throughout the entire FrancoPrussian -war. 'Hie Women's Citizens' Association will hold a meeting to-day to discuss the effect, of the kinemas on children's welfare. Tlie Rev. C. Eaten, Mr Jeffrey, and Mrs Bryant Williams will speak on the subject, and a discussion will follow, in which all who are interested aro invited to take part. The subject will embrace not only tne effect, of picture shows on children, but also on a large section of the community.
