THE GALLIPOLI CAMPAIGN.

TRUE PERSPECTIVE RECOGNISED. VALUE OF THE OPERATIONS. LONDON, November 3. (Received Nov. 4, at 7.15 p.m.) The Observer says: The immortal fight on GaJlipoli lias been vindicated. Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and India realise that their heroes of 1915 wrought better than hitherto has been recognised. The Gallipoli expedition was the best -holding force in Europe in proportion to its strength. It inflicted more damage than any other force, and did more to melt down the strength of the Turks than all the fighting since. It was one of the greatest adventures of the British race.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
