GERMANY'S LATEST FARCE. WANTS HER COLONIES BACK. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. AMSTERDAM, December 17. (Received Dec 18, at 8.50 p.m.) Berlin political circles are excited over the report that Germany is about to state her peace aims. It is understood that she will chiefly declare her political disinterestedness by restoring Belgium, with ample damages paid, in exchange for the return of Germany's colonies. The question of Alsace and Lorraine ie not mentioned. It is believed that Germany will informj Britain, France, Italy, and' the United States of her aims through neutral diplomats, under a pledge of secrecy.
