M. JONNARTS VIEW. BALKANS MUST NOT BE NEGLECTED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 25. Mr Lloyd George and Mr Balfoor have personally congratulated M. Jonnart, expressing great appreciation of his wock in Greece. M. Jonnart, interviewed, said : "Greece through Constantino's bad ,policy, cannot hope to recover her position, except by victory. An agreement concerning the Balkans -with Turkey and Bulgaria is not possible without our gaining military successes. We must not, neglect tihis theatre of tho -war." Ribot referred to the modified conditions created by Greece ranging herself alongside t'he Allies, thus necessitating their reconsidering the military situation in the Balkans. ADEN'S DANGER, The Times. LONDON, July 25. The Times calls attention to the unprotected condition of Aden, on t!he main sea route to India and Australasia. The town haa been practically beleaguered by tie Turks on the landward side for nearly two years, the British force, which is inadequate, being confined to its stronghold. Enemy forces are ranging among the tribes in the protectorate. Operations at Aden have not shed lustre on our arms or o«ir prestige. '
