THE LIQUOR QUESTION.
NEW YORK, April 19. The Council of National Service is considering if it would be opportune to advise the President to prevent the manu--facture aijd sale of alcoholic beverages during the war, as it would save 3,000,000 tons of foodstuffs annually.
