BUTTER CARGOES COMMANDEERED.

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. LONDON, April 18. The Government commandeered four cargoes of Australian butter. (Received April 19, at 9.25 p.m.) The Food Controller will pay yesterday's market prices for the commandeered butter. At a meeting of members of the trade it was decided that it was impossible to fix values for the various grades, and it decided to suggest that fair all-round prices would be as follow : —lß6s for Victorian, 184s for New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australian.
