FOR THE EMPIRE'S CAUSE. DEATH. GRAY. —On March 25, 1917, died from wounds received while in action " Somewhere in France," Sapper Thomas Alexander (7th Reinforcements), fifth son of tho lato Robert Gray. (Centre Hill Station), and beloved brother of Mrs Fleming, Mre M'Hardv, Mrs Hensley, Mrs Kedzlie, Messrs A. Gray (Masterton), W. Gray (Blenheim), -Privates R. and J. S. and Sapper C. Gray; aged 28 years. Greater lovo liat.Ti no man than this: that a man lay down liis life for his friends.
