SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
PALMERSTON. Very little interest was taken in tho election of tho School Committee for the ensuing year, only about a dozen householders being present to exercise their votes. After tho balance sheet and chairman's report had been approved, the following wero nominated as members of the new committee:—Messrs L. R. Morris, D. Sutherland, W. Pittaway, A. Gihnoro, C. Stringer, L. Barclay, W. M'Kenny, W. Hodgetts, and W. Grimsdale. These were declared elected. The committee hold a short meeting after the election, and appointed Mr L. Barclay chairman and Mr W.
