YOUNG WOMEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.
Easter camps arranged by the Young Women's Christian Association wore held at Evansdale and Brighton. About 40 girls attended the two camps under tho leadership of Miss Andrews (general secretary) and Miss Black (Girls' Department secretary) respectively. The daily programme included camp insepciton, outings and picnics, Bible study vespers and evening talks. Special features were the banquet and fancy dress party, which were greatly enjoyed by all tho campers.
Tho winter session is now in full swing, and after the usual break for Easter, club a and classes will resume work. Tho Red Cross Club meets on Wednesday evenings, and on the second Saturday of each month. Every GirJs' Club will hold its opening rally on April 21. and the Physical Culture Class will begin during tho first week in May. Miss Edith Child, who has had experience in Y."W._C.A. work in Australia and England, will arrive in Dunedin on May 12, to tako up tho office of cafeteria secretary. Mrs Mac Noil (a member of tho board of directors of the Melbourne Association) passed through Durcdin recently, and looked over tho administration building and hostel. She expressed surprise at tho growth of the work in Dunedin, stating that tho hostel in this city was accommodating as many ffirls as tho one in Melbourne. Miss Helen F. Barnes, who has given such valuablo service to tho Australasian Y.W.C.A. during the past five years as National Secretary, will arrive in Auckland on May 14, en route to America. Miss Baines will bo greatly missed by all tho associations throughout Australia and New Zealand, tlie forward movement which has been so marked during the past few years, being largely the result of her wide outlook and far-seeing policy.
