Fbiday, April 13. (Before Mr V. G. Day, S.M.) Drunkenness.—-Nellie Lynch pleaded "liuilty" to this offence. This was her secomt lapse within the past six months, and tliere waa a long list of previous convictions against her.—Mrs Jackson asked that defendant bo given a chance, as she had consented to go to Mount Magdala Home for 12 montlis. —She was convicted and ordered to come up for sontenoe when called upon.

Gool and Jack J. oro appeared on remand from Wellington 011 charges of having deserted from thedr vessel at Port Chalmees on March 26 — bonior Sergeant Button, stated that these men signed on this ship at Auckland Thov were arrested in Wellington, and considerable expense had been incurred in bringing them to Duncdm.
