PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
The regular meeting of tho Peninsula .Road Board, iioki on iSaturday, "was pre©sided over by Mr J. Fair bairn. Tho Town Clerk wrote asking a settlement of rates collected in Tainui for year ended Allltcli 31. —Xlio chairman and clerk were instructed to wait upon tho board's solicitor to have the accounts adjusted. Tho Clerk reported that some work required to bo done at Sandy mount, and a wall was required to protect' the bank on Mam road at Sandymount. Some metal was required to repair tho tSandymount road near the creamery.—lt was decided that the work be earned out as soon as convenient.
Accounts totalling £18 5s 8d wero passed for paymnt.
